What is BEV?

Battery Electric Vehicles, commonly known as BEVs, are vehicles that are powered solely by lithium-ion batteries, which drive an electric motor to propel the vehicle. These vehicles operate without using any internal combustion engines and produce zero tailpipe emissions, making them an environmentally friendly transportation option. BEVs are becoming increasingly popular due to their lower operating costs, quieter performance, better acceleration, and reduced environmental impact compared to traditional gasoline-powered vehicles. As the automotive industry continues to shift towards sustainable and eco-friendly options, BEVs are seen as a key player in the transition to a more sustainable transportation future. BYD BEVs include Atto3, Seal EV and Han EV.
